Apart from Chlorine levels. Good pool water depends on a delicate ‘balance’ of pH. total alkalinity and
calcium hardness. Pool water which is not correctly balanced can either be corrosive or scale forming.
Although such water may not be uncomfortable to bathers, corrosive water will attack the fabric of the
pool. Scale forming water produces unsightly deposits on pool surfaces and equipment, attracting dirt
